Cupertino · Founding Cohort opens September 2026

Mornings at home. Afternoons at Leadways.

We're building a new afternoon program for Cupertino homeschool families: peer connection, real specialist classes, and the community fabric of a TK–8 school, on a flexible 2- or 3-day rhythm. Twelve families, one Founding Cohort, September 2026.

This page is an early look. The full program details aren't public yet, but if it sounds like what you've been piecing together, we'd love to hear from you.

What we're building

Not your morning. A real afternoon partner.

You've already designed your morning: your curriculum, your charter, your child's rhythm. The Hub is the afternoon piece you've been trying to assemble across three or four providers. Specialists who actually know what they're doing. A real peer group, not the same four kids from a co-op. The community fabric of a school that's been running for years.

Real specialists

PE with archery. Music. Studio art. A coding + LEGO League lab. Daily Genius Hour. Taught by the same teachers who teach our full-time students. Not freelancers.

A real peer group

Your child sits next to our full-time students in real classes. Friendships extend across the whole school, not a twelve-family bubble.

Leadways families at a community event

The whole school community

Art shows, music nights, camping trips, field days, and international student trips to Costa Rica and China. Hub families get the full social calendar, not just the classes.

Mornings stay yours

ELA, Social Studies, Math, Science. Your curriculum, your way. We don't replace the academic core. The Hub adds around it.

Students on a field trip

Year-round continuity

Three break-week intensives and a six-week summer studio, bundled. No scrambling for July, no patching together winter break. One drop-off, all year.

A family touring the school art hallway

A plan for your child's year

Two to four one-on-one Personalized Learning Plan sessions per family, per year. We map your child's arc and align it with what you're doing at home.

A note from the founder

Jun

Founder, Leadways School

When the pandemic hit, a small group of homeschool families I knew needed something real for their kids, and weren't going to wait for the official options to figure it out. So we built it together. Full days, full academics, in living rooms and parks. We didn't know exactly what we were doing. We just knew the kids needed real school, and we needed each other.

What we built together became Leadways, the TK–8 school we run in Cupertino today. But as Leadways grew, some of those original families slowly drifted away. They were homeschool families. They wanted to stay homeschool families. What we'd built together had become something different from what they needed at the start, and somewhere along the way I lost touch with the version that worked for them.

The Hub is a return to that. Twelve homeschool families this first year, joining our afternoon classes alongside our full-time students, while mornings stay at home, your way. We have the teachers, the building, and the school community already running. The Hub is how we share it. If this sounds like what you've been looking for, raise your hand below, and we'll be in touch as we open applications.

Early interest form

Tell us what you're looking for.

A short form. Six minutes, less if you're decisive. We'll use what you share to keep you in the loop as the program opens, and to shape what we offer in Year 1.

about you

The basics

rhythm

How many afternoons sound right?

No commitment. Just where you'd land if you had to pick today.

timing

When would you start?

programs

Which classes are your child most drawn to?

Pick as many as apply. We use this to shape what runs and how we describe it.

community

Which community pieces matter to your family?

Hub families join the broader school calendar, not just the classes. Tell us which parts you'd actually use.

anything else

What are you actually looking for?

Optional. The most useful field on the form for us. Say whatever feels true. What's working in your homeschool right now, what's not, what would make this a yes.

We'll only email you about the Hub. No newsletter, no follow-ups beyond program updates.

Thanks, we got it. We'll be in touch as applications open in June, with a personal note from Jun. If something's urgent in the meantime, you can reach her directly at jun@leadways.school.
